Being a warrior

Many of us watch marvels and action movies on television and we feel like it is hard to be a warrior in reality. The truth is that we are all warriors in our own movie, that is our life, and through Jesus Christ we are way indomitable. This life is full of battles. Threats to our faith are always present and, as Christians, our fight is against the powers of this world that calls us away from God. The good news is that we have every weapon we need at our disposal. When we put on the amor of the word of God, and remember that Jesus goes with us, we can face down every enemy and rest assured that we will come out victorious.

1 John 5:4

4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith are always present and as, christians , our fight is against the powers of God that calls us away from God.

Reading this verse reminds me that all who are in Jesus Christ are already victorious. We can be calm knowing that throughout all the struggle of life, the end has been determined and we are the winning side. All we need to do is use well the armour of faith at our disposal and that is: the helmet of salvation, breast armour of righteousness, belt of truth, warrior shoes of peace, shield of faith and the word of God as sword.

Psalms 28:7

7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in him; therefore my heart exults,And with my song I shall thank him.

Jesus is our greatest protector. When we hold up our troubles against his truth, we are shielded from  the worry that so often defeats us. Our loudest battle cry should always be one of praise to Christ for his protection.Believe in Jesus Christ, as he is a great warrior, mentor and protector. He knows and understands well everything we are going through and if we let him take the control, he will be the commander of all our battles.

Psalms 18:39

39 For you have girded me with strength for battle; you have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

There is no fear or worry that God does not understand. He sees and understands the wars that rage within us and have an endless supply of strength for those who turn to him.  Through his word we can fight against any demon or anything that oppose us. What we fight against most of the time is not visible to the eyes of men, but to the eyes of the Lord all the battles you are held against are so visible. Do not be afraid or worried, God has fought many wars for you. The one you are facing now is small , way smaller, for the Lord.

2 corinthians 4:7-12

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted every way, but not crushed; perplexed , but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

The bible tells us that God will never give us more than we can handle. Sometimes we tend to question what this verse , we become tired of fighting. We need to understand that God loves us so much, we do not need to be weary. Let us put our trust in the Lord, as he can grasp all our capacities of what we can do. To be a soldier in the army of Jesus Christ, we need to believe that in him we are conquerors and warriors. Because throughout all life battles, God has always shown us that when we fight with him, we cannot be defeated.

Prayer starter: Dear Heavenly Father, always remind me that I am your soldier and warrior. Teach me how to use well the armour of faith and be on my side while I am fighting all life battles. I believe I am victorious through your grace, give me strength and courage every single day of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
