All our thoughts, good or bad, have an effect on our physical being. The mind and body definitely connected. Positive , hopeful thoughts energize our soul and physical bodies, whereas negative, hopeless thoughts drain our energy.

13 "As the mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you, as you will be comforted over Jerusalem."
Physical tiredness is not always a result of wrong thinking. We can certainly have a sickness or disease that leads to a loss of energy, or we may even wake up tired for no reason. But we do know that science and medical technology verify that the mind and body have a close connection, that our thinking does have a direct effect on our body.
"I will restore you to health and heal your wounds", declares the Lord.
In times of need, where can we turn for encouragement and prayer support? One place is the bible. It is filled with passages to increase our faith and encourage us to pray when we know that we are ill. When illness wears us down and depletes our energy, let us not forget that the lord is the healer and provider of our needs.
Sometimes when I get sad or when I get hurt or angry, I feel not only emotional weak but also I feel physical despair. I started having insomnia few years back due to negative and hopeless thoughts. This showed me that my body is connected to my mind. I started reflecting on what I can do in order to feel better and have a normal sleep. I turned to God and prayed hard, now I can sleep very well thanks to God. I shifted my thoughts to God, I started thinking less on my problems and started thinking more on the word of God. It is not easy , it took me months to get back on track but it is possible.
Our bodies are like automobiles that God provides us to drive around on earth. If we want them to perform to their maximum ability and be energized, then we need to choose to think in ways that will help fuel them. One of the ways you can use to start developing more positive and faith-filled thoughts is to spend time with God. It can be through fellowship, intimate daily devotion time with God and prayers.
One of that ways that also help me drive out negative thoughts is spending time with energetic and cheerful persons, like my friends and my family. spending time with those special people that God put on your way as a gift can make you feel emotionally and physically healthy. It is good to have time for yourself from time to time, but we need also to give time to important people in our lives. That is when we start feeling alive and happy.
Prayer starter: Lord, please help me to choose positive, hopeful, faith-filled thought today. Thoughts that agree with your word and that will energize my life. Remove negative and wrong thoughts in my mind, because they affect my physical body and soul. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
